Stephen (Steve) Urbish
Steve Urbish spent his professional career in sales & marketing. As Sales Manager for New Jersey's largest newspaper, and the country's 8th largest, at the age of 22, he drove readership to the highest level in The Star-Ledger's history. His newspaper career included four years with Gannett, as Sales Director & six years at The Princeton Packet Group where he was a member of the executive management committee while holding the title of Circulation/Marketing Director.
To satisfy a burning ambition for entrepreneurship, he started a telemarketing sales company. If, you received a telemarketing sales call during the 1990s there's a strong chance it originated out of one of Steve's call centers. As telemarketing laws became restrictive, he started a monthly magazine, New Jersey - The Shore Thing.
Other ventures included a partnership in a trucking/logistics dispatch company where as the operating partner he grew the client base to fourteen trucking companies, with four dispatchers. As well as.a Business Consultant specializing in customer acquisition & retention.
Steve has been married to his childhood sweetheart for forty-one years. He and wife Jacqueline have resided in Columbus, NJ for thirty years, have three adult children and four grandchildren.
